Moxibustion for Breech Presentation
moxibustion.jpg

Moxibustion is a traditional Chinese technique used to turn a breech baby into a head down position usually around 34 -36 weeks of pregnancy.

Moxa sticks are used to heat specific energy points on your little toes to correct yin deficiency. The heat is absorbed and transferred via energy channels called meridians which help relax the uterine muscles, and promote downward movement of your baby's head.

Research suggests that moxibustion is about 66% successful which is slightly better than External Cephalic Version (50%). Moxibustion is not suitable for everyone so it would be advisable to telephone before booking. I am a Registered Midwife so will be able to advise if moxibustion is suitable.

You will receive a treatment and alsobe shown how to perform treatment at home twice a day for 7 days to complete the course. I will provide the moxa sticks for your use.
